| My days spent at Stan Lewis' Jewel-Paula Record company were exciting days with Stan's enthusiasm and determination to succeed. In a recent conversation with Stan while a writer was interviewing him, I learned that Esther Fontana Liberto, had passed on. She was Stan's cousin and the twin sister of D.J. Fontana, the drummer for Elvis Presley. Esther worked with us at Jewel-Paula and created a monthly publicity piece called Straight From The Horses Mouth. These pages are dedicated to her memory and to the many other wonderful people who worked for Stan over the years helping a small record company grow large and become internationally known. The pages below show some of them at work and play! I am seen in one of the pictures behind the recording console, in the recording studio with the dynamic George Clinton. |
