My brother and I lived and went to school in a lot of  different places. LeFlore County Oklahoma is the old family
home and the place we returned to.  I have not lived there for years, but it, of all the places I have lived, seems more
like home to me.  I would like to share some of my pictures and memories with you on this page.  All photos are used
with permission or belong to me and my family.

were married on the beach. L.J is my grandson, the son                    BENSON ! Great grandchild!
of my oldest daughter, Penny.   They  returned  after a              .                                                               
week of honeymooning and a local reception was held..
First graduating senior class from Poteau High after desegregation.
FRANKIE SPANO - Spent a lifetime in the recording
industry.   He recently retired from the business.  Check
out his gold records in the background.  Don and
Frankie were associated with the same company at one
time, working together in the music business.

WHEREAS, Robert Donald Logan, returned to his home
after the war, found his country destroyed, and still
started a new journey of life by becoming married and
starting a family in a different state.

WHEREAS, Robert Donald Logan, eventually came to
Indian Territory in 1890 and settled in Wister, I.T. in 1900.

WHEREAS, Robert Donald Logan, and his family became
integrated into all aspects of life in Wister, and he and his
family were leading citizens of early Wister, Oklahoma.

BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the below named Officials of
the Town of Wister, Okllahoma, do hereby state that
Robert Donald Logan was a man of courage, bravery and
integrity.

BE IT RESOLVED that we declare through this Resolution
that May 8, 2010 shall furthermore be known in Wister,
Oklahoma as Robert Donald Logan Day.

largest and most Historical battles of the war.

WHEREAS, Robert Donald Logan, was wounded at
Gettysburg with a gunshot to his left hand, causing
the loss of his left thumb.

WHEREAS, Robert Donald Logan, was returned to
duty and was captured at Missionary Ridge on
November 25, 1863 and served the last eighteen
months of the war in Rock Island Prison.
WHEREAS, Robert Donald Logan, was a Confederate
Soldier and actively participated in many of the
